Canada is Actually THAT Beautiful
I’m a little ashamed to admit that when I saw other photographers images of the breathtaking mountains with electric-blue lakes in the foreground, I thought that they were 100% the product of photoshop; cranking the aqua and blue saturation sky-high.
Well, I was wrong. I was wrong, and I couldn’t be happier about it!!
Having lived in Vancouver for almost a year now, I’ve had the opportunity to shoot some of the most world-renowned and insta-famous lakes that Canada has to offer. What did I find out… that yes, they are actually that beautiful!
This is one of the lakes at Joffre Lakes Provincial Park in British Columbia, and also the first time I ever set my eyes on a body of water that was just like the images I’d seen from afar. The water is turned a translucent, piercing blue by the sediment that runs with it from the glaciers high in the mountains and most are bone-chillingly cold.
Since this first encounter, I’ve added many more images of Canada’s incredible glacial lakes to my portfolio - from more at Joffre Lakes Provincial Park to Lake Louise, Lake Moraine, Medicine Lake, Lake Maligne, the list goes on… and for all of you out there that are still in-doubt, you should definitely add Canada to your travel list for 2020 and come see for yourself!
