A Special Place in Vancouver

Science World and Downtown Vancouver at Sunset in Summer

If you were to ask me my favourite places in Vancouver then you wouldn't be surprised by the long list of mountains, forests, lakes and beaches I give you... but also on that list is the part of False Creek next to Downtown, near to the iconic Telus Science World structure.

I very rarely pass through this area without stopping to admire (or photograph) something. From resident and important bird-life such as Barrows Goldeneye Ducks, Cormorants, Great Blue Herons, Canada Geese and Hummingbirds, to the incredible skyscapes that you'll often see over the city at Sunrise and #Sunset. It's also not unusual to spot seals, otters and even orcas in the sheltered harbour!

There are always interesting events, exhibits and activities happening throughout the year along this stretch of the creek too - all reasons why, in my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful and exciting parts of urban Vancouver and well worth a visit if you're nearby!

I'd love to hear some of your favourite parts of Vancouver too - connect with me on social media using the links below to share your thoughts.
