Something Different

I wanted to share with you something a little different from the normal wildlife and landscapes you’ll have become so accustomed to on the Photography Blog.

I was recently asked to take a few shots for a Mexican band that was playing in my hometown of Colchester – the lead singer and guitarist is known to his fans as Rony Rosado.

The lighting in the venue was very low so I decided to use a Canon 6D (which I’ve found copes better than others in low-light conditions) with a smaller 50mm lens. The variety of poses, costume changes, different instruments, and continually varied lighting allowed for a really lovely selection of final images.

I’ve included some of my favourites in this article, and you can see some more in the portrait gallery.
